I went to bed last night with a plan, I was going to get up at 8:00, take Duke for a walk and get some activity points in before the festivities and then come home, get cleaned up and prepare the macaroni and cheese.
I told Christian my plan for my plate. No macaroni and cheese for me because there were too many other good things that I could eat and not waste my points on. I would get white meat from the turkey, pile on as many vegetables as possible and I would not deprive myself of dessert, I would take 1-2 bites and then pass the rest onto him.
When we got to dinner, there were lots of veggies! Broccoli and Cheese (I tried to find the least cheese, which is a change for me!), I had some peas, and I had my bean salad. Got the white meat, had a spoonful of stuffing, a spoonful of mashed potatoes, and then some jell-o that had mandarin oranges, cranberries and something else in it that was fruit. I didn't have a dessert because there weren't that many options. So, overall, I think I did very well!
When we got home, I took Duke on a 1.8 mile walk, so I racked up 3 activity points for the day. So, now I need to keep the momentum going through the weekend and into next week and look to meet this 10% goal! :)
