Another Day Down

Might I once again emphasize, thank goodness for activity points! They are truly awesome! But, then again, we've been having some awesome weather to boot! Duke and I walked a total of 3.6 miles today, some of that was before work, but the majority was after work.

So, I had a blooper this morning. I decided to be cool and try a recipe from the weight watcher website for a smoothie. I didn't think you could mess up a smoothie this bad, but oh yes, I did. I asked Christian if he wanted me to fix him one and he said sure, so I made him my guinea pig and he took one sip and started making gagging sounds. He asked what was in it and I proceeded to tell him there was raspberries and blueberries, a cup of skim milk, some nonfat yogurt, vanilla, and a banana, and he said you could definitely tell it was void of any natural sugars and it was bland. So me being all like I'm going to be awesome and drink it, made mine and I drank all but mabe a half before I had to give it up and stop pretending to like, it was NASTY! It might need some sweet n low or something, but ICK! I'll have to be more careful about what recipes to try and how to go about fixing them. I'm really scared to try it again...it was 5 points of my day washed down the drain, literally! :)

But, I don't stay away from recipes too awful long, I'm going to try one tomorrow for breakfast that I got from the Hungry Girl website (and it's only 3 points!)
1/2 cup egg beaters
1 veggie burger thawed if previously frozen
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped mushrooms
and they call for onions but I'm leaving those out.

Chop veggie patty into bite sized pieces, place mushrooms and onions and veggie patty pieces in a pan spritzed with non stick spray and cook over medium heat for 2 minutes.

Add egg beaters and tomatoes to the pan, scramble together until eggs are cooked.

I will let you know how this concoction turns out! I'm hoping that it will be better than my smoothie (of course, I think anything would be better than that!)
