Going out with a BANG!

I MADE MY 10% GOAL!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Originally I had wanted to meet my 10% goal before Christmas, but that did not work out too well.  So I worked especially hard during Christmas and made 10% goal on December 31, 2008!  What a way to end 2008!  I am so excited!

I am even more pumped because I exerted a lot of self control while in Ohio.  I used my food companion when going out to eat, I walked on my mom's treadmill to ensure that I had activity points to trade in, I researched menus before going out to eat to get in my head what I was going to eat and how many points each item was or had a general idea.  I lost 2.4 pounds while in Ohio!  :)

I have to thank Christian, my loving husband, first and foremost!  He has been my number 1 cheerleader since day 1.  Sometimes when I'm veering off track, he'll gently remind me to choose the better options.  He's been very supportive through this journey and sweet about it too! Remember the flowers when I broke into the 170's!  :)

I also have to thank Duke!  Thanks to his bounds of energy, he has kept me looping!  I know that he gets benefits from his walks, just as much as I get mine!

And, lastly, but certainly not least, I have to thank the rest of my family, friends, and co-workers.  You have also been a huge support system and helped along the way, whether it's the compliments or recipe swapping, it has helped me get to my 1st goal and I greatly appreciate it!

So I've been thinking about New Year's Resolutions and of course I would like to continue with my weight loss, but I've added some extras with it!

1.  To lose 10% more of my weight.  I have an ultimate goal in mind, but I need to keep breaking it down into small chunks because it's much more attainable that way!

2.  To do at least 15 minutes of physical activity a day.  There are some days where I struggle to get it in and there are other days where I'm up over that, but now that the weight is coming off, I need to step up the activity to make sure that I am earning my activity points!

3.  I would like to walk/jog/run (whatever level I'm at) a 5k this year.

Then of course there are a few non-weight resolutions as well...in addition to becoming physically stable, I would also like to become fiscally stable as well!  :)

RANDOM AFTER THOUGHTS
ALSO, while in Ohio, all of the stores were having fantastic sales!  So, I was in a store and they had winter clothes on sale and I tried on a size 14, too big!  YES!  So, I tried a size 12, fit better, but the waist was still big and I wasn't happy with the fit, but I was soooo incredibly excited!  Smaller clothes here I come!

Today, after weigh-in, I took Duke to PetSmart since we were up there, he had a good time, but I popped into Target to see what was going on in there and I have a gift card and bought myself some size 12 dress pants!  They look awesome!  So happy to be back into smaller clothes!  I want to go thrifting sometime soon to get some jeans and the like because I don't want to spend a small fortune on clothes if I continue to shrink!  :)

I hope you and your family have a very Happy New Year!
